CAPT provides a range of services and information for people whose work involves preventing accidents and injuries to children and young people, including:

• the provision of information and a wide range of publications
• training covering general child safety, especially risk management, first aid and inspecting playgrounds
• facilitation to assist in developing local strategies, reviewing local activities, evaluating programmes, etc
• consultancy and expert witness services to a wide range of bodies, including trading standards departments, solicitors and manufacturers of children’s products, clothing and safety equipment
