Feedback
Your feedback is crucial to us in planning our support for your local activities. Please tell us more in the Child Safety Week 2009 Evaluation section and My activities section.
It’s worth thinking about how you will measure your own success too.
How will you know that what you’re doing is working? Thinking about evaluation at the beginning of your planning will help. Here are our top tips:
Decide what success looks like. For example, the children you work with putting into practice the safety messages you taught them the week before, speaking directly to a certain number of parents, making new contacts locally who you will continue to work with beyond Child Safety Week etc.
What are your 6 indicators of success. Decide the best way to measure them. It may be collecting feedback from parents, testing children’s understanding of messages, running a survey at your event etc.
Remember to use what you learn. Essential for planning your event the following year or getting funding for more accident prevention work etc.
Keep it simple. Keep questions simple so that you can summarise them.
